Kristine Lea White, 41, of rural Otterville, died Oct. 3 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia from injuries sustained in an automobile accident the previous evening.

Her husband, Phillip, suffered multiple injuries, including a fractured hip and torn ligaments in both knees. He was expected to be released from an area hospital on Oct. 5.

Daughter Rebecca, 11, was transported to an area hospital, with a fractured foot. She has been released. Daughters Sarah, 10, and Abigail, 4, received minor scrapes and bruises in the accident.

Mrs. White had been children’s ministries coordinator at First Baptist Church, Sedalia, for the past three and a half years.

She was born May 20, 1968, in Warrensburg, the daughter of Larry Quinley and Billie Northern Quinley.

She spent most of her youth in Sedalia, graduating from Smith-Cotton High School in 1986. She earned an associate’s degree in accounting at State Fair Community College.

On March 11, 1995, she married White, who survives of the home. She served as president of the Otterville PTO and was a substitute teacher for the district. She enjoyed many hobbies, including scrapbooking and craft shows.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents, Billie Quinley of Sedalia and Larry Quinley and wife Carole of Warrensburg; four daughters, Cassel of Sedalia, and Rebecca, Sarah and Abigail of the home; two grandchildren, Grace and Seth; a brother, Bruce Quinley and wife Cristina of Tulsa, Okla.; two stepsisters, Lisa Meyer and husband Gary, and Laurie Van Cleav and husband Mike; and seven nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were set for 10 a.m. Oct. 8 at First Baptist Church, Sedalia, with Drew Hill officiating. Burial was to follow in Highland Sacred Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Kristine’s Basket, a fund for the family’s expenses, in care of First Baptist Church.
