The stars of a reality television show shared how God has worked in their lives and family at the 73rd annual Hannibal-LaGrange University Booster Banquet Nov. 21. More than 800 guests heard words of encouragement from Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, stars of The Learning Channel’s “19 Kids and Counting” show.

Structure is a key to learning to make wise life choices. But that structure must be based in the foundation of the Living Word. That’s the premise from which Heather Gieck now lives her life and on which her ministry to women like her will be based. The Healing House and New Beginnings Inc. will provide a safe haven for women released from prison or in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction to concentrate on rebuilding their lives.

A group of Baptists from Missouri recently visited Cuba to learn about Baptists in that island nation. Eight Missourians joined four other Baptists last month to bridge religious, political and cultural divides between the two countries.
